Caravan Insurance Repairs Brisbane

Has your caravan or motorhome been damaged? Call AllBrand and we’ll help you work out what to do next.

It is usually best to contact your insurer first. But if you have not called them yet, are unsure whether to claim or simply do not know where to start, contact us. Our friendly team can answer initial questions, explain what information is normally needed and point you towards the next step.

Not Sure Where to Start? Call Us.

You do not need to have everything organised before speaking with AllBrand.

If you already have a claim number, great. If you have not spoken with your insurer, that is okay too. Tell us what happened and we can help you understand the usual process, what details may be useful and whether your insurer should be your next call.

We cannot decide whether your policy covers the damage, but we can make the repair side easier to understand.

Working With Major Caravan Insurers

AllBrand regularly works with major insurance companies on eligible caravan and motorhome claims. Your policy, insurer assessment and approval determine what work is covered.

What Type of Insurance Damage Do You Need Repaired?

Accident and Crash Damage

Impact damage to caravan bodies, panels, roofs, corners, windows, doors and structural components.

Hail Damage Repairs

Dents, roof damage, cracked fittings, damaged hatches and related water-entry risks following a hail event.

Storm Damage Repairs

Damage caused by wind, falling branches, debris, heavy rain, flooding and storm-related impacts.

Water Damage Repairs

Water ingress, damaged internal timber, wall and floor damage, failed seals and hidden moisture problems.

Fibreglass Damage

Cracks, holes, delamination, crushed core, damaged moulded panels and refinishing work.

Drawbar and Chassis Damage

Damage affecting the drawbar, A-frame, chassis attachments and related towing components.

Suspension Damage

Insurance damage involving suspension, brakes, bearings, axles, running gear and underbody components.

Previous Repair Rectification

Assessment of unsatisfactory or failed earlier repairs where further investigation and rectification may be required.

A Proper Assessment Looks Beyond the Visible Damage

The dent, crack or stain you can see may not show the full extent of the problem. Impact and water can affect framing, insulation, wiring, plumbing, cabinetry, flooring and adjoining panels.

Our team assesses the visible damage and the surrounding structure before preparing the repair recommendation. Where further dismantling or testing is needed to identify hidden damage, we explain the next step and document relevant findings for the claim process.

This matters because a cosmetic repair alone may not resolve water ingress, structural movement or damage concealed behind the outer skin.

Getting Help Is Simple

1. Contact Your Insurer or Call Us

If possible, notify your insurer and ask for a claim number. If you are unsure what to say or have questions first, call AllBrand and we will help you understand the usual next step.

2. Tell Us What Happened

Give us the basic details and send photos if you have them. Do not worry if you do not have every document, number or photograph ready. We can tell you what else may be needed.

3. We Help Move the Repair Forward

When appropriate, we assess the damage and prepare repair information for the insurer. Once the work is authorised, our team completes the approved repairs and relevant checks.

Just Tell Us What You Know

You do not need a perfect set of documents before contacting us. To get the conversation started, it helps if you can tell us:

  • What happened and what damage you can see
  • Your caravan or motorhome make and model
  • Your insurer and claim number, if you already have one
  • Whether the vehicle is safe to move

Photos are helpful, but they are not a condition of calling us. If we need more information, our team will explain exactly what to provide.

Why Brisbane Caravan Owners Choose AllBrand

  • Multiple trades under one roof: caravan technicians, fibreglass specialists, auto electricians, mechanical technicians and fabricators can collaborate on complex repairs.
  • Established Brisbane business: AllBrand is part of McArthur Industries, serving the community since 1973.
  • Caravans and motorhomes: our Sandgate workshop accommodates a wide range of recreational vehicles.
  • Water-ingress capability: specialist pressure testing helps identify leaks that may not be obvious during a visual inspection.
  • Repair documentation: damage findings and the proposed repair method can be documented for the claim process.
  • Repairs and upgrades together: privately funded upgrades may be completed while the vehicle is already in the workshop, subject to approval and scheduling.

Caravan Insurance Repair FAQs

Do I need to contact my insurer before contacting AllBrand?

It is usually best to notify your insurer first, because the insurer decides what your policy covers and may issue a claim number. However, you are welcome to call AllBrand before doing so. We can answer initial repair-process questions, explain what information is commonly required and help you understand your next step.

Can I choose my own caravan repairer?

This depends on your policy and insurer. Ask your insurer whether you have a choice of repairer and whether they need to authorise the assessment or repairer before work begins.

Do you repair motorhomes as well as caravans?

Yes. We assess and repair eligible insurance damage on caravans and motorhomes, subject to vehicle size, construction and workshop capability.

Can you repair caravan water damage?

Yes. Water-damage work may involve leak detection, pressure testing, resealing and repair of affected walls, floors, framing, cabinetry or exterior components.

Can you repair hail and storm damage?

Yes. We assess damage caused by hail, wind, falling objects, heavy rain and other storm events. The repair scope depends on the affected roof, panels, fittings and any related water entry.

What happens if hidden damage is found?

If dismantling or testing reveals additional related damage, it is documented and the insurer may need to review and approve a supplementary repair before that work proceeds.

Do I have to pay an insurance excess?

Your insurer determines whether an excess applies and how it is collected. Check your policy or claim documentation for the amount and payment arrangements.

How long will my caravan insurance repair take?

Timing depends on the assessment, insurer approval, parts availability, hidden damage, repair complexity and workshop scheduling. A more reliable timeframe can be provided once the approved scope is known.

Can upgrades be completed during the insurance repair?

Yes, where suitable. Upgrades are quoted and authorised separately from the insurance work and may depend on compatibility, parts and scheduling.

What should I do if the caravan is unsafe to tow?

Do not tow a caravan you believe is unsafe. Contact your insurer or roadside-assistance provider to discuss recovery or transport options, then tell us where the vehicle is located.
